And grow it did, the tiny fused trunk grew up to being a twin tree of thirty feet high and about the same in breadth, under my containing pruning. One side had the rounded filberts and the other had the longer hazel nuts, and as the tree grew, its production became amazing. It produced so many, that it could supply us with ripe nuts all through the winter, and we were a family of five who loved them.
